EXPERT SPEAKER SERIES
Educational Support Group | 7-8:45 pm
Topic | Diagnosing Epilepsy-How is it Done?
Parent Speaker | Dr. Shrey, Pediatric Epiletologist
Adult Speaker | Dr. Millett, Epiletologist, Hoag Epilepsy Center Director
This month, our Epilepsy Expert Speakers will take us through each step in the diagnostic process and explain how the process works for getting an accurate diagnosis. Why is it important to understand how diagnosing epilepsy is done? Best possible seizure control depends on an accurate diagnosis. If the diagnosis is not accurate, attaining seizure control can be a time consuming and challenging journey. This presentation is a must if you are seeking the best epilepsy outcomes and what to expect with diagnosis.
For the 30-40% of individuals that are not experiencing seizure improvement or control, it is imperative to seek treatment by an epileptologist at a comprehensive epilepsy center. Here is your chance to learn from a Pediatric Epileptologist from CHOC Epilepsy Center or an Adult Epileptologist from HOAG Epilepsy Center.
