International Epilepsy Day, February 8, 2016

Monday, February 8^th is the second annual International Epilepsy Day.  It falls on the second Monday of February.  This special day was organized by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE)  and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and is designated to bring awareness about epilepsy all around the world.  There are many things you can do to celebrate this day:

World Brain Day

Yesterday (July 22, 2015) was World Brain Day, and this year’s focus is epilepsy.  (I just came across the link today.)  World Brain Day is an initiative of the World Federation of Neurology, the International League Against Epilepsy, the International Bureau for Epilepsy, and the World Health Organization.

International Epilepsy Day

International Epilepsy Day is today, February 9, 2015.  It falls on the second Monday of February each year.  It was conceived in partnership between the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE).  Establishing this day of international epilepsy awareness is the first step in addressing this serious
